UFC 145: Jones Vs Evans – April 21, 2012

UFC‘s youngest titleholder Jon “Bones” Jones has to prove in order to establish his place as the best fighter of all-time, although he has conquered everything thrown his way. The good news for Jones is that his fan and experts feel that he will achieve the same easily. On April 21, he has an upcoming fight against Rashad Evans and he will be on a proving ground, as Evans is said to be one of the most formidable opponents he will meet in the ring. Evans was Jones’ ex-training partner too.

This rivalry between Jon Jones/Rashad Evans has been building since eternity. The contest was shelved several times because of injuries to both fighters causing animosity to grow to a level rarely touched in sports. Interest in the fight is peaking with the prospect of conclusive gratification on the horizon along with the conflict between the two combatants.

The contest of these two polarizing figures has a certain intrigue. Whether it has been to throw their support in with one fighter or the other, or simply to sate the appetite for a good old-fashion grudge match, the matchup has demanded the attention of fans.

Evans quickly worked to dispel that notion after leaving, although Jones and Evans often spoke of being friends before the split. The rhetoric is expected to heat up in the final month before the two finally step inside the cage and the rivalry has only intensified as the fight has been put off several times for various reasons.

Jones needs to remain adaptable, adroit and true to his goal to achieve the highest eminence as a fighter. His introduction to the UFC community and its lasting impression means his record will not immediately affect his presence in the ring.

Jones’ latest victory evinced something more when he defeated Lyoto Machida at UFC 140. Machida understood that a fighter would take the advantage, if he could get inside Jones’ reach and pursue him during a retreat. Machida’s method worked and Machida’s method worked in the first round. It was probably the most powerful he had taken in his last few fights.

The UFC 145: JONES VS EVANS bout will broadcast on BALLS Channel via satellite on April 22 (Sunday) starting at 10:30 am.
